I've got a thing for charming mountain towns and Park City is a newfound love. There are DOZENS of restaurants in Park City to choose from. You won't go hungry! Start the day off with a healthy and hearty breakfast or replenish your energy after a day of mountain activities. Happy noshing! Breakfast. Riverhorse Provisions Cafe It's not often we eat out for breakfast, in fact, rarely ever, except for when we're on vacation! Park City has a few incredible breakfast restaurants, Riverhorse Provisions included. Cafe on the lower floor and boutique market and deli upstairs, the modern ambiance and outdoor patio were just the cherry on top of an incredible breakfast. I'd like to think I have a personal calling to sample every avocado toast combo that has ever been created to find the best in the world. Riverhorse Provisions is up there. Loaded with avocado atop sourdough toast and finished with heirloom tomatoes and a hard boiled egg, this one is close-your-eyes and rejoice in every bite good. If you're looking for more variety in flavors, try the brisket hash: polenta bites, poached egg, spinach crispy jalapeno, red onion, bell pepper. Spicy, crispy, savor deliciousness all scrambled into one. Don't forget about your sweet tooth, in the "healthiest" of ways and order the polenta french toast sticks rolled in cinnamon sugar. The owners and staff at Harvest believe in three things: food, coffee, people. The creativity infused in the dishes at Harvest, a refreshing cafe at the lower end of town in Park City is inspiring, and most importantly, tasty! We all know that a weekend of skiing, beers, fries, burgers can take a toll on the body and the gut. Order a fresh-squeezed juice to help re-boot your system and feel healthy! For the main event, I recommend the Nourish Toast with roasted beetroot and tomato, salsa verde, pickled onion, herb salad, avocado, topped with a soft poached egg and smoked salmon, drooling just thinking about it! If you're looking for something more "breakfast," try the Savory Toast topped with herb ricotta, sautéed mushrooms and spinach, fresh avocado and a poached egg, add a side of bacon! Speaking from personal experience, this breakfast and lunch spot in Park City does exactly that. We learned the hard way it's better to arrive early, especially on a weekend morning. Fortunately we only had to wait about 30 minutes and it was worth it - plus, you can grab a coffee from the in-house cafe. The inside of Five5eeds is filled with greenery and plants, trendy servers, and aromas of mouthwatering flavors wafting by. Start off with one of the specialty baked goods made in-house daily and take your pick from the glass case up front. I was almost tempted to order lunch, but I couldn't not try something from the breakfast section of the menu. The mushrooms on quinoa toast arrived as a color explosion on a plate. With mushrooms, basil hummus, truffle goat cheese, marsala reduction and micro greens salad, the color explosion turned into a flavor explosion too. Another option is the Pulled Pork Benedict. Benedicts have a reputation of unhealthy, fattening sauce, but at Five5eeds, their hollandaise is made from an apple cider vinegar base, which makes for a guilt free plate of pulled pork, poached egg, toast, and granny's apples! The restaurant is not located in downtown Park City, but is a short drive away from the main attractions and has plenty of parking out front. Every table at Atticus was occupied by someone on a laptop, nose buried in a book, or reading the local Park City newspaper. Located on the lower end of Main Street, it was immediately evident Atticus is a popular spot! We only grabbed coffees here, but were tempted to try the breakfast items like the Vegan Burrito with Anaszi beans, green chilis, butternut squash & chipotle seitan or the acai superfood smoothie bowl. High West Distillery When it comes to being close to the action, High West Distillery is as close as you can get. High West boasts the title of the world's only ski-in/ski-out distillery. They're also ideal spot for après or a night out with your loved one. Keep in mind the distillery saloon is 21+! We sat at a high top table in the restaurant side with a buzzing atmosphere, exposed wood rafter, and moonshine mason jars lining the walls. The shishito peppers came prepared two ways: battered & fried and sautéed. We read online the deviled eggs were to die for and they did not disappoint! Whipped to perfection and finished with pea shoots, local glazed prosciutto and mustard caviar, you might just want to order another round! Other items not to miss: savory, crispy sprouts, served with wild mushrooms, and drizzled in a black truffle vinaigrette. Bring it all together with the decadent s'mores desert -- house graham cracker, toasted gooey marshmallow, and rich local Millcreek dark chocolate. There's live music on the patio, friendly service, and an ole saloon - what's not to love about High West Distillery?! It so happened to be my birthday and we were feeling like this dinner needed to be an extra-ordinary dining experience. Tupelo did not disappoint. The multi-level restaurant provides sections for all types of parties, the date-nighters, families, and 21+. We sat along the edge of the upstairs in the atrium dining, overlooking the stairwell. Intriguing modern art adorns the wall . From my seat I could look out the window and see the twinkle lights across the street, which added that extra touch of magic to the evening. Since we had tried the deviled eggs at High West, we had to put Tupelo's to the test. Creamy with a titch of crunch from the fried country ham, I'm going to play neutral here and say both were delicious! It's hard to recommend an entree, because Tupelo's restauranteurs and chefs keep the menu fresh year-round. What I can say is, the unique and and thoughtfully paired ingredients of each dish will make your gastronomic adventure at Tupelo one to remember. When we travel to a new mountain town in the Rockies, we always scope out the local craft beer spots. Wasatch Brew Pub was a great dig for a pre-dinner beer, pouring beer made in-house straight from the tap. The bar is the best seat in the house, where you can see all the brew tanks behind the glass and also learn about the beers from the very friendly beer-tenders (see what I did there?). Wasatch Brewery combined forces with Squatters Craft Beers, expanding the selection for beer lovers like you and me to try! We didn't eat at the brew pub but definitely eyed the expansive menu. Choose from starters like fried brussel sprouts, grilled salmon with cauliflower puree for a healthy flare, or go all out on the loaded mac n cheese with bread crumbs and crispy onions. Main Street is jam-packed with every cuisine you could imagine, and kitchens creating internationally inspired dishes, with a local twist. Chimayo is no exception. At Chimayo, "cooking comes from the heart." And we felt that the kind service did too. So entreanced by the presentation and flavors, we ended up shutting Chimayo down! Before we knew it, we were the only souls left in the place. Perhaps it was the spicy margarita or the dancing fireplace we cozied up next to. For what to order on the menu, start off with the stack of ceviche featuring incredibly fresh and zesty shrimp and mahi mahi. Okay, once upon a time, I was a skeptic, too. But after living in the Rocky Mountains, in the land-locked state of Colorado for nearly 10 years, I've come to my senses. There is actually GOOD sushi, if you go to the right places. Yuki Yama is your good place for fresh and unique sushi in Park City. I enjoy sitting at the sushi bar to watch the entire production and art of crafting rolls topped with tuna belly, fish roe, and of course, that sweet soy! One unique thing I loved about Yuki Yama was actually not the sushi. Our neighbors at the sushi bar ordered some sort of sizzling cook-it-yourself dish so of course, we had to try for ourselves! Out came the wagyu beef tataki -- wagyu zabuton, served...
